Jake Cohen
Hello! I'm Jake, a Product Manager with 10 years of experience in the B2B SaaS space. The first five years of my career were spent on go-to-market, as a Sales Engineer and then as a Product Marketer. These initial years on the front lines made me adept at engaging with customers and uncovering the underlying problems they are trying to solve.
I have extensive experience working on products from ideation through to delivery and scale, including core-platform features, 3rd-party integrations, generative AI features, and more. With a deep technical understanding of software and infrastructure, I tend to collaborate in great detail with engineering teams to ensure alignment and clarity on immediate and long-term decisions.
In working with my counterparts in Design, Sales, and Product Marketing, I have repeatedly ensured they understand the overarching strategy and how our product iterations align with this strategy. I regularly receive feedback from these counterparts as the Product Manager who provides them with the most informative context, enabling them to excel in their roles.
I have contributed to building multiple innovative solutions - both for customers and for internal tools. I led the user-research and UX design for a product that has two pending patents. Details on this project will be added soon to this site. Stay tuned!
I have also developed multiple internal tools that have helped Product, Sales and Customer Success teams glean qualitative and quantitative insights about customers that directly contributed to growth opportunities and reduced churn.
My approach to design is comprised of three fundamental principals: early and repetitive customer engagement; holistic perspective; attention to detail.
I strive to create intuitive and impactful products that balance user needs with business objectives. This skill has been honed over my 10 years working on highly technical products that serve a variety of personas - from developers to HelpDesk to operations-engineers.
